TRANSFORMING the Cancer Centre Campaign
Colchester Hospitals Charity (CoHoC) is leading the drive to fund a purpose-built Cancer Centre at Colchester General Hospital. We are asking everyone concerned about cancer to join us in our campaign to create a world-class new home for cancer treatments and therapies. Our vision is a place where our patients and their loved ones are supported and cared for by experts throughout their cancer journey.
We want to provide one integrated Cancer Centre that combines first-class radiotherapy, chemotherapy and medical treatments alongside a range of complementary therapies, information, support and advice for people affected by cancer.
Coggeshall's Big Park Project
The Coggeshall Big Park Project was set up by local residents to work with the Parish Council, and the community, to create an innovative and inclusive playground that Coggeshall can be proud of!
The big playground in the recreation ground on East Street is due an overhaul - in a recent survey, 87% of residents felt it should be improved a lot, or totally replaced. They asked for it to be more accessible, more exciting, and less muddy.
Coggeshall's Big Park Project is working with the community to choose a design for the new playground, and will be raising funds and applying for grants over the coming year - aiming to have a new playground installed sometime in 2018.
